HSS Recovery House was founded by CivicBridge NP, a nonprofit company, and formed by a person in recovery who is also a returning citizen.

That experience gives our mission its heart. We understand why a new beginning needs somewhere to take root.

HSS exists to help make that beginning possible—for the person taking the next step, and for the community ready to welcome them.

Am I welcome if I take Suboxone or methadone?

Yes. We welcome residents taking maintenance medications, including Suboxone, methadone, and other prescribed recovery medications. You do not need to list medications on the initial application.

Can I apply if I am returning from incarceration?

Yes. Returning citizens are welcome to apply. Reentry is part of our mission, and our team will discuss housing availability and next steps with you.

What do I need for rent and the deposit?

HSS sponsors your first two weeks of rent. You must have one week of rent available for the security deposit. Our team will confirm the weekly rent amount and move-in details during application review.

Where are the houses, and who can live in them?

We have operating houses in Delaware, Indiana, Texas, and Louisiana. Select your preferred state when you apply. Gender assignments for individual houses have not yet been finalized. Our team will discuss available placement options with you.

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews your application and contacts you using your preferred method to discuss availability, answer questions, and explain the next steps. An application does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a bed.
